The original Kamakura Bunko, founded in Kamakura by Yasunari Kawabata and others, no longer exists. We, a group of like-minded residents of Kamakura, have established a new Kamakura Bunko in the town. It operates on a membership basis, and prospective members must undergo a screening process by the relevant review committee. Following a stint at the Nissay Research Institute, he left Nippon Life and went on to serve as a lecturer at the Waseda University Extension Centre and at a research organisation under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (at the time), where he was responsible for national survey-related work concerning the healthcare and long-term care insurance systems. After holding positions at Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC (formerly Tohmatsu Limited Liability Audit Corporation) and as Director of the Paramount Health Comprehensive Research Institute, he is currently Representative of Kamakura Bunko (kamakurabunko.com) and Representative of Autre Monde Institute (kaigo119net.com), as well as a healthcare and long-term care journalist and a lecturer for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Registered Lecturer Dispatch Programme.

La Bibliothèque de Kamakura, fondée autrefois à Kamakura par Yasunari Kawabata et d’autres, a aujourd’hui disparu. Elle a été rétablie à Kamakura par un groupe de bénévoles résidant dans la ville. In der heutigen Arbeitswelt nehmen Einsamkeit, übermäßige Verantwortung, Kommunikationsprobleme und psychische Erschöpfung zu. Das Verständnis für den Menschen – wie es die Literatur seit jeher in Form von „menschlicher Schwäche“ und „menschlichen Verbindungen“ dargestellt hat – wird gerade jetzt dringend benötigt.
Die Kamakura Bunko ist eine Marke, die mit der Intelligenz der Literatur die Zukunft der Berufstätigen unterstützt.
Die einst von Yasunari Kawabata und anderen in Kamakura gegründete, heute nicht mehr existierende Kamakura-Bibliothek wurde nun von einer Gruppe engagierter Einwohner Kamakuras neu ins Leben gerufen. Sie ist ein Mitgliederclub, und um Mitglied zu werden, ist eine Prüfung durch die zuständige Prüfungsabteilung erforderlich. Dabei werden unter anderem die Beiträge in den sozialen Netzwerken berücksichtigt. Manchmal geht es um Literatur aus Kamakura, manchmal um Literatur aus dem Ausland, manchmal um Comics und Anime, und manchmal auch um Musik, Malerei und alle anderen Kunstformen.

Nach seiner Tätigkeit beim Nissei-Forschungsinstitut und seinem Ausscheiden aus der Nippon Life Insurance Company war er als Dozent am Waseda University Extension Center sowie bei einer (damals) dem Ministerium für Gesundheit, Arbeit und Soziales unterstellten Forschungseinrichtung (zuständig für staatliche Untersuchungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Kranken- und Pflegeversicherungssystem) tätig. Nach Stationen bei der Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Tohmatsu (Deloitte Tohmatsu) und als Direktor des Paramount Health Research Institute ist er derzeit Leiter der Kamakura Bunko (kamakurabunko.com) und des Autre Monde Institute (kaigo119net.com), arbeitet als Journalist für Medizin und Pflege und ist als Dozent im Rahmen des von der Präfektur Tokio registrierten Dozentenvermittlungsprogramms tätig.
